THIS IS OUR SMALL SCALE. WIDELY DIVERSIFIED. HOLISTICALLY MANAGED. FAMILY FARM

Our family’s table to yours.

Our family set out on a journey to produce the best food we could. It has taken years of seeking advice, research, and trials, and are thankful for every animal and product God entrusts us to grown on this land. It is to His GLORY we give thanks for the ability to continue on this journey and share the reaps of harvest with you.

SOIL FERTILITY & NUTRIENT DENSITY

The nutrition cycle begins in our soil. Our grazing pastures and fields are amended yearly by means of adding our animal’s natural manure compost, azomite minerals, and testing to ensure a balanced pH and adding those lacking nutrients. Animals are all supplemented with a high quality mineral, kelp, salt and fields are cover-cropped to maintain the complex integrity of the soil.

HOLISTICALLY MANAGED

Many of our mentors through the years have a deep knowledge base of organic farming and/or natural principles used for generations in the past. We strive to follow these principles by building immune systems first through high quality feed/forage, fresh water, sunshine, natural environments, and supplemented minerals. In the event an animal need extra help, we follow natural protocols first such as herbal tinctures, increased mineralization, and apple cider vinegar. We have had excellent success using these methods.

WIDELY DIVERSIFIED

The farm ecosystem seems complex and layered, but rather simple when you understand God created a relationship between soil, plants, insects, and animals. For example, our milk cow, Lucinda’s input is pasture and hay. Her output is exponentially greater: she feeds 3 calves/year, extra milk is given to our pigs & chickens (which they then give us meat and eggs), her manure fertilizes our pastures, fields, and gardens (which feeds the soil, which feeds the plants, which feeds us and our animals). What a neat cycle! And there’s so many more examples of how a diversified farm benefits the ecosystem.

SMALL SCALE

We feel extremely blessed to have this small chunk of land and what we’re able to produce. We have intentionally decided to stay a very small scale operation for many reasons. If you’re interested in any of the products we sell, please contact us to find out availability. Thank you!
